Be sure to let us know if you are making a Pirate Chest with the Leather Trim Kit or the Wedding Box. And also let us know if you need the drop slot cut for the Wedding Box.
The Chest measures 15" wide, 14" tall (with feet) and 11" deep (front to back).
We also have a larger unfinished chest in the inventory now. The new larger chest measures18" wide, 14" tall (with feet) and 11" deep (front to back).
Please note. The larger unfinished chest (pirate looking chest) has a brace across the middle of the lid. If you are going to use it for a Wedding Money Card box, we will need to put a smooth top on it that doesn't have a brace. (The brace would prevent the cards from falling through the slot.) Please tell us about what you need in the notes when you place your order.
Add the options that you want from the list. We will send them unmounted so that you can paint or stain the chest. But we will mount the feet for you.
Please remember that leather handles come with the trim kits and don't need to be entered twice.
Also, the lock and latches mount in the same location so you don't need both.
Don't forget to choose the HideAway Kit. (A false bottom to hide small items.)
We also have 2" x 1/4"thick Baltic Birch wooden letters that are hand-cut by craftsmen right here in Ohio. You can use the letters to personalize your Treasure Chest.
The letters are unstained and can be painted, stained or sealed in a contrasting color. We will send the letters to you so that you can place them on the chest yourself.
If you order the decals, we will just put them in the box for you to install yourself. The decals have an adhesive back and are 4" x 4". They would look better on a smooth top. So just let us know and we'll make the chest with smooth top and bottom. Put that request in the notes as you complete your order. Look for "customer notes".
The ribbons are 1-3/8" wide and 5 ft long. They can be used as a lid holder instead of the brass chain that we usually send. We usually put a knot in them around the center of the length. Then we fasten the knot to the lower section of the chest and a loop on the lid with a brass tack. And then finish it off with a nice bow. But we'll leave that up to you and just put it in the box for you to be creative. |
