This Pirate Chest features Solid Brass Harness Buckles on real leather straps and comes with a small tray like the other chests in our collection.
The new Black Leather Straps and side handles are cut from USA cowhide and manufactured right here in Ohio by Amish Tradesmen.
All of our Chests are hand made here in the USA, by us and are made of White Pine and Baltic Birch.
The top straps are used to hold everything together when moving the chest and fasten at the bottom with brass snaps. There are no feet on this chest as it sits directly on the ground like the old Pirate Chests.
The Chest only comes in Black Walnut stain and has brass plated hinges and a brass chain to act as a lid support. We hand rub 2 coats of Black Walnut stain into the wood, let it soak in for awhile then hand wipe it off for a deep rich finish.
It also features a
Latch that is included in the price.The Latch can be used to hold the lid and bottom together when transporting with the straps unsnapped.
A hasp can be installed instead of the Latch. Please select from the options.
The lid is held open with a brass plated chain and the chest is fitted with brass plated hinges.
The domed top is standard.
You can choose from a selection of handles in the options.
Don't forget to choose the
HideAway Kit. (A false bottom to hide small items.)
This chest also has brass plated "trunk nails" applied to various points for looks and strength.
The Chest measures 15" wide, 14" tall and 9" deep (front to back).
Also available in a larger 18" wide, 14" tall and 11" deep version. Same stains with leather trim.
